SERMON TITLE: Your Children, Your Power
SERMON TITLE: Your Children, Your Power

Text: Psalm 127:3–5 — “Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them…”
Introduction
Beloved, every parent here today must understand that children are not accidents — they are assignments.
They are the seeds God gives us to plant, nurture, and release as instruments of His glory. The Bible calls them heritage and reward. That means God entrusts us with divine deposits — not just to enjoy, but to empower the next generation.
The title of this message is “Your Children, Your Power.” Why power? Because the future of a family, a community, and even a nation lies in the strength and godliness of its children.
1. Children Are the Extension of Your Strength
In Psalm 127:4, children are compared to arrows in the hands of a mighty warrior.
An arrow in the hand of a skilled archer is not weak — it carries the power of direction and impact.
Parents, your children are your arrows. How far they go depends on how well you train, shape, and aim them.
If you neglect them, you weaken your legacy. But if you train them in the way of the Lord (Proverbs 22:6), you extend your influence far beyond your lifetime.
2. The Power of Godly Influence
Your true power is not measured by possessions or titles, but by the godly character and destiny of your children.
When your children walk in truth, they multiply your spiritual authority. When they serve God, they become voices that continue your mission even when you are no longer here.
3 John 1:4 says, “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.”
Your greatest legacy is not wealth, but worship; not buildings, but believers; not fame, but faith passed down.
3. The Enemy Targets the Next Generation
Why does Satan attack children today — through media, peer pressure, and moral decay? Because he knows that your power is tied to your seed.
If the devil cannot destroy you, he will try to destroy your children — because once the next generation is corrupted, your legacy loses power.
That is why, parents, you must rise in prayer.
Stand in the gap! Declare, “My children shall not be lost. My seed shall serve the Lord!” (Psalm 22:30)
4. Release Your Arrows with Purpose
A wise parent prepares their children for destiny. Don’t just raise them for comfort — raise them for calling.
Let your home be a training ground for faith, discipline, and excellence.
Speak life into them. Bless them daily. Teach them to love the Lord, to respect people, and to value purpose over pleasure.
When you release them in the fear of God, they will fly far and bring honour to your name — that is your power.
Conclusion
Beloved, your children are your reflection, your extension, and your greatest investment.
Guard them. Guide them. Grow them.
Because your true power does not lie in what you have, but in who you raise.
